Now you can interact with your peers around the country or around the world, with the EMCOM Community Emergency Preparednes Coordinators, Neighborhood Crime Watch, and the citizens you serve.  Let them in on your thoughts and ideas; some of the best ideas for dealing with any type of emergency come from the heros 'on the ground'.

 Emergency Managers
Just like the guy's on the ground, we invite you to join us and your peers around the country and the world. Use you own homepage and blog to communicate with the citizens you serve; what's going on in Emergency Management in your community, and how can the citizens help? What we've learned over the past 8 years with EMCOM is that there are 10's of thousands of people wanting to learn and willing to get involved. No one needs public funding like emergency management; here's a good way to get the public on your side.

Hold SkypeCasts and use the CastHopper to give live presentations on the participant's computers during the conference; use the bulletins to communicate with EMCOM Community Coordinators, Neighborhood Watch or interested citizens.

The My.EMCOM community was created just for this purpose. Why not join us and sign up for your free web and blog site today?

  Interested Members of the Public
There are a LOT of people out there with a great interest in public safety, many with some significant knowledge and expertise that don't know how to put it to use.  As we build My.EMCOM, you'll be able to interface with others that may have the same interests. Join us. Let the local emergency management community know what you think... and for some, that you are available to help if needed.

  My.EMCOM's Newest TeamMates

Take car of our hard working, hard playing four-footed friends! Whether they are patrol dogs, guard dogs, bomb or drug dogs, search and rescue dogs, hunting dogs, or just our stay at home pal, they are always there for us. Sure, you could give them their own home page on My.EMCOM (our canine friends are a big part of emergency response), but I think they'd rather have some quality time playing, and maybe a little something from our sponsor...(but then, if you have a police/patrol/rescue dog, we'd like to meet him/her... their own page is WELCOME!

  EMCOM Community Coordinators
We've finally got a place for you to interface with each other, with emergency management personnel and with your neighbors and the public. Let your neighbors know what is going on in your neighborhood... how you can help coordinate their efforts, and what they can do to help themselves and the neighborhood.

After 5 years of trying to work with Washington, I thing everyone is aware that if anything is going to get done, it is going to get done at the local level by the people that care, and who are most affected by emergencies... here's a way to get everyone "together" to coordinate those local efforts. I could say more on this... Lots More... but tonight I'm gonna make nice-nice. I can't promise the same for my own blog though...
