Use you own homepage and blog to communicate with the citizens you serve; what's going on in Emergency Management in your community, and how can the citizens help? What we've learned over the past 8 years with EMCOM is that there are 10's of thousands of people wanting to learn and willing to get involved. No one needs public funding like emergency management; here's a good way to get the public on your side.

Hold SkypeCasts and use the CastHopper to give live presentations on the participant's computers during the conference; use the bulletins to communicate with EMCOM Community Coordinators, Neighborhood Watch or interested citizens.

We've finally got a place for you to interface with each other, with emergency management personnel and with your neighbors and the public. Let your neighbors know what is going on in your neighborhood... how you can help coordinate their efforts, and what they can do to help themselves and the neighborhood.

After 5 years of trying to work with Washington, I thing everyone is aware that if anything is going to get done, it is going to get done at the local level by the people that care, and who are most affected by emergencies... here's a way to get everyone "together" to coordinate those local efforts. I could say more on this... Lots More... but tonight I'm gonna make nice-nice. I can't promise the same for my own blog though...
